I would advise if you dont have a tent to make pvc frames and cover them with reflective material to put on the sides of the table that arent against a wall.

I have 3 sides not having light reflected back and I'm definetely going to change that next time. I still think I'll pull at least a pound like this though. Containing the table with reflective material makes a huge difference in the final product and yield.

3x3 = 1 pound?

Follow along with weekly updates as we use a 2. Each week we will post a new video overview of the week's activity for this grow, so check back every week for an update! This grow-along also discusses the differences between autoflowering plants and "traditional" daylength-sensitive Cannabis plants, along with the pros and cons of each type.

Preparation for the grow, planting the seeds, and germination- off to the races! Also includes a discussion on the difference between autoflowering and "traditional" daylength-sensitive Cannabis strains.

We trim and clean up the bottoms and switch from vegetative to flowering nutrients. Monitoring the plants and adjusting the fan and lights as necessary while the plants start to really stretch during flower. As the plants continue to grow we do some minor leaf pruning to help the developing flower buds. The 'LSD 25' strain is starting to show some crazy colors, and the trichomes are indicating that the plants will be ready to harvest in a couple weeks!

Only 67 days after planting the seeds, we harvest, trim up the buds and put them on our drying racks.

Autoflowering plants are going to vary significantly in how large they get- every strain will be different, and every seed will be different as well. You don't mention how short your plants are- after 5 weeks I would expect the autoflowering plants to be somewhere between 12 to 36 inches, depending on the genetics you got. A couple of things you did mention could be contributing to short, under-performing plants though: We recommend keeping the temperature when the lights are on at 85 degrees, because our light spectrum doesn't warm up plants' leaves as much as HPS or other lights.

At 80 degrees, the plants are being kept a bit on the cold side under our light, and this would slow down their growth. As a indoor grower myself, I am always trying to maximize my yields in the shortest amount of time. SuperCloset has gone to great lengths to project accurate yield expectations for our customers. There are many variables in deciding the outcome of your yield but I will cover the most common. Certain strains of cannabis are known to be large yielders, while others are notorious for yielding very little despite much effort.

Light: Light is the single most important element of what the grower can provide your plant with — more than even water or nutrients, Light if Life. Without light, your indoor plant will die, and only with light can your plant create food in the form of glucose via photosynthesis. As a general rule, the more intense the light, the better it is for the plant though obviously there are limits. Remember, plants — even indoor plants — have naturally evolved under the sun. Most indoor growers useor 1,watt HID high-intensity discharge bulbs.

In fact, many growers like to measure their plant yields to the wattage it was grown under i. Available Space -The available space is the clearest limitation on potential yield of plants when indoor growing. Vertical Space-The maximum height a plant can achieve is the distance from the base of the stock top of net cup to around 12 inches below the light.

In practice plants usually enter flower around Inches below the light and grow to within 12 inches from the light at Harvest.

The degree of branching is also dependent on the internodal length. Clearly if you over plant in a small space each plant will be restricted of its maximum potential, which leads me to the most important aspect of indoor growing which is technique. Technique: Another important consideration in how much a plant might yield is the system in which it is grown and the cultivation techniques deployed.

For instance, many growers argue that hydroponic cultivation garners higher yields than growing out of soil though other argue there may be a trade off with quality does. But for certain, there are a few horticultural techniques that can be deployed that will undoubtedly bolster your yield. One such technique is pruning or, more specifically, topping your plant done during the vegetative stage which is simply the removal of the top terminal shoot. This causes the plant to release hormones that grow new side branches.

This will create more top colas and with proper trellising to support the bushy structure, can increase yield by up to 20 percent. Can I expect smaller yields per plant in the smaller grow tent? Thank you for your question.

Yields at harvest are directly tied to the amount of energy from your light and the space you have to grow foot print. Or simply put, about a gram per watt. The number, and size of plants differs from grower to grower. Some growers prefer to spread the yield over many smaller plants which cuts down on the veg stage time and allows for more harvests per year.

Others prefer to grow fewer large plants.I will list the items that are absolute mandatory to grow first. There is a list with additional items, that I deem useful below. Get started on your first grow tent! Yes, the light is the most expensive item in a grow operation.

Yes, you can save money on light, but this is the best option for a grow room of that size. Its cool, quiet and runs damn bright. It has the most recent technology behind it and does not need extra cooling.

But there are alternatives. There are thousands of options. Just make sure its a grow light. Read everything about the theory behind light here. It has alot of advantages like better light distributions or overall efficiency. I just did not link it as first option because it only has Watts, and we wanted to get the most of our room with the given conditions.

If you are able to build these lights yourself with a kit, buy these!

If you can find other distributors using these chips, you can go for it. Its true, Timbergrowlights is just an option when in comes to LED lights. There are several chips out there that are awesome to grow weed with.

Question is how many Plants should I put in these tent sizes for max yeild or should I just use 1 Plant. Which will be best for yield? Should I use pots or one big square to cover the whole 3x3 or 4x4 tent.

Rentaldog Well-Known Member. If you're looking for the biggest harvest possible, Sea of Green with a ton of clones. That, or you can grow a few plants and use the Screen of Green method. Sea of Green involves using as many small clones as you can fit in your area. They grow equally, and you flower them immediately in most cases - this ends up giving you a main cola on each plant and thats all.

A canopy of buds, if you will. Screen of Green is kind of the same thing, but instead of a bunch of individual plants you only have one or a few. You then stretch a net above them, and train your plants to grow outwards instead of upwards.

Check the two methods out on youtube and you should get a better idea im still a newb myself, so hopefully some of the other members will chime in. I'm gonna say One for a 3x3 and Two plants for a 4x4.

Its "equivalent" to a 1k hps so any of the aforementioned methods are great. We do need to know your media preference to elaborate further. I would say five or ten gallon pots with each plant topped many times. You will also need to think about a perpetual garden if you want more than 2 harvest's per year.Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

LED grow lights tend to be a good choice to go with for growing pot, and this is true for most situations. We have some really nice options for you to look at right here and now. Ok, so what you really need to keep in mind here is that most weed plants, especially larger ones, need at least 2 x 2 feet of space, if not more, so a 3 x 3 tent is going to fit 1 plant comfortably.

This means that all of the LED grow lights we are looking at today are ideal for either 1 or a couple more plants, they are space friendly, and easy to mount inside of a grow tent. It has a more comprehensive light spectrum. More effective coverage area than any reflector series lights.

Perfect fit for a 2x2ft growing area at 24" height. The difference of us is that we use double cooling fans. Veg switch: It's blue led and white led. For seedling or young vegetative growth, you can use Veg switch only. Bloom switch: It's red led and white led.

It does not cost a lot of money to operate. It does not require a ballast, it is fairly compact and lightweight, and comes with all mounting hardware included.

Ok, so this thing does put out quite a few lumens.Forums New posts Search forums. What's new New posts New profile posts Latest activity. Members Current visitors New profile posts Search profile posts. Log in Register. Search titles only. Search Advanced search…. New posts. Search forums.

Thread starter dirtycat Start date May 15, You could use one three gallon smartpot and fill the tent. Top or fim it and lst. Your entire space would be taken up. Good Luck and Happy growing.

Hey mate, personally I would grow a couple in smaller pots. A bigger plant has the potential for a bigger yield, but a smaller plant could yield just as much. In regards to time management, regardless of the size of the plant it will take the same amount of time to mature from seed to flower.

If you had smaller plants you wouldn't need to veg for as long though. A pound? It is very possible to get a pound of a plant, however because you are using a LED I don't think you will be getting a pound. I just started my first LED grow so I can't give you feedback on potential yields yet.

Also in my opinion your space is too small to grow a plant with the potential to yield a pound.
